Spring into Savings
Because AAA is so much more than emergency roadside assistance, we continue our quest this year to elevate awareness of the very many benefits of membership. Yes, roadside assistance is the primary reason people join and renew their memberships, but the savvy member will easily have their annual dues paid (sometimes several times over) by taking advantages of the countless opportunities to save.
In this issue, we introduce a new AAA insurance product, Healthy Paws Pet Insurance (see page 6), to
the membership. I know that your pets are part of your family. AAA has known this for a long time and has been assisting travelers with pet-friendly accommodations and travel for decades, with TourBook information and online resources like you can find at AAA.com/pettravel. The AAA Prescription Saving program also covers many pet prescriptions (see page 20). Healthy Paws adds to our portfolio of pet-related benefits. Pet illnesses can carry
a tremendous financial burden. Healthy Paws can help mitigate those expenses.
I’m also pleased to announce a new local AAA Discounts & Awards partnership promotion with Summit Racing (see special offer on page 19). Summit Racing and AAA Akron are two storied local automotive brands, and both organizations are excited to offer savings opportunities today, and in the future. We think this might be a match made in car heaven!
Also, new on the national discounts’ scene is the
2019 addition of Ruby Tuesday, offering a 15-percent discount to AAA members through Nov. 30 (see page 22 for discount details).
Kevin Thomas
President
Finally, I’m proud to re-introduce our membership to the efforts and activities of the Summit County Traffic Council. AAA has facilitated these regular meetings of law enforcement and traffic-safety-minded agencies in Summit County for more than 50 years. Each issue of AAA Now! will include updates from the group (see “The Ins and Outs of Roundabouts” on page 8) in our ongoing effort to forward the mutual interests of
law enforcement, traffic safety and transportation organizations and the motoring public.
Thank you for reading, and I hope you spring into savings with AAA.
