New REAL-ID Enforcement Date
New Drivers Can Train in the Comfort of Their Own Home
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic,
the Department of Homeland Security has postponed the REAL-ID enforcement date from October 1, 2021 to May 3, 2023. Pennsylvania residents will need a REAL-ID compliant driver’s license or other form of federally-accepted identification, such as a passport, to board a domestic flight or enter a federal building or military facility that requires ID.
