Moving Forward with Confidence in a New Year
NEW BRANCH HOURS
Jodie Daubert President/CEO, AAA Central Penn
As I write this message, I’ve been thinking a lot about the holiday season that just ended. I don’t know about you, but my favorite holiday season looked and felt much different this year. I bet yours did too. Our family made the decision not to host the big family gathering, concerned that the size and mix
of generations was not for the best. It was a difficult but necessary decision to balance celebrating the season with the need to protect the health of our families during a pandemic.
COVID has certainly disrupted our personal and professional lives and forced us to make the best decisions we can in the
midst of a pandemic. Unusual times continue to require a balancing act. This is true for AAA Central Penn as well. As a result of COVID, we are serving our members differently. We’ve made several changes that have been well-received by members and staff alike, including appointments,
virtual meetings and self-service technology.
And while COVID has accelerated the timetable for change, many innovative
changes were already underway to help us address dramatic shifts in consumer behavior and continue to improve the member experience.
In 2018, Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, famously said, “What we need to do is always lean into the future; when the world changes around you and when it changes against you – what used to be a tail wind is now a head wind – you have to lean into that and figure out what to do because complaining isn’t a strategy.” While he uttered those words well before we experienced a global pandemic, they seem especially profound today.
So, no matter how your travel and financial needs may have changed, your AAA Central Penn team is ready to deliver the high caliber of service you have always expected from us. After all, AAA has been America’s partner for automobile and travel-related services for more than 100 years.
Just as travel, safety and financial services have experienced seismic changes over time, AAA will continue to lean into the future with confidence. We’re proud to be your trusted travel partner in the years ahead.
On behalf of AAA Central Penn, I wish you a pleasant and safe new year.
The 114th
Annual Meeting of AAA Central Penn
will be held Thursday, March 25th, 2021.
