New Mobile Member Service Now Available
AAA Central Penn’s Lancaster staff is now on the move to meet customers where they are needed.
We’ve taken our member services
on the road with AAA Central Penn’s new Mobile Member Service van. This pilot program assists membership in and around the city of Lancaster, as this “Mobile Branch” delivers many of our in-branch services to the homes and businesses of our AAA members and patrons.
“Being able to provide a comprehensive array of AAA products and services through a mobile, ‘We Come to You’ manner, is an important step in our
effort to continually improve our member experience,” said AAA Central Penn President and CEO Jodie Daubert. “We’re already well known for delivering roadside assistance and car battery service, so it seemed very natural for
us to also offer our in-branch member services through a mobile model.”
The new Mobile Member Service vehicle includes notary service, passport photos, assistance with some department of transportation services, map and tour book delivery, theme park tickets, foreign currency orders, and much more. The program serves the
area within a 10-mile radius around the Lancaster city center. We plan to expand mobile services throughout the region over the next few years.
“This is the first AAA Mobile Member Service program, and we identified Lancaster as an ideal starting point,” Daubert added. “We know we
have members throughout Central Pennsylvania that are interested in mobile services, so we do plan to expand this program after the pilot.”
The new Mobile Member Service vehicle is a specially upfitted Ford Transit Cargo van. Complete with an upgraded battery system, multiple security features, and a desk, the van provides AAA employees and members with a safe, secure, and comfortable mobile office environment. The Mobile Member Service manager, Ronnie Burgess, is a long-time AAA employee who previously served
as the James Street, Lancaster branch manager. She is keenly aware of the Lancaster market and the needs of the AAA members in that area.
