Happy New Year!
As we pack away the last vestiges of the holidays, it’s a good time to look forward to the new year. There will be life-changing events
for some of us, no doubt. Things like a wedding, a new job, the birth of a child, the first day of school, graduation, and the list goes on. Perhaps thoughts of what to do on our
firsthand how easy they make it. All you have to do is show up and enjoy!
When preparing for the new year, we are keenly aware of Old Man Winter and all he brings us here in Pennsylvania – ice, snow and slippery roads. It would be good, if you haven’t already done so,
to prepare your cars for those unexpected predicaments that could be heading our way. Always having extra warm clothes, blankets,
water and snacks, a first aid kit and a flashlight with extra batteries in your car is invaluable during an emergency; a shovel as well as non-skid material should also be included. A good idea is to have your cell phone fully charged before heading out into the weather. Needless to say, your AAA Central Penn membership card should be in your wallet – we’re with your 24/7, 365 days a year. AAA is ready for winter...are you?

The New Year is here – typically the time for making new resolutions as well
as reflecting on things we resolved to do last year, but somehow didn’t accomplish! I would like to share some
of the resolutions, past
and present, which have appeared on my list.
The first thing that comes to mind is making sure
my family is safe, which
The second resolution is to check all my insurance coverages. Are they adequate and is there a possibility I can save some money by checking
with my AAA insurance agent regarding coverage and premiums? Too often we are only aware of our coverage when we need it – in an auto accident or homeowner’s claim. How often we are surprised by what coverages we don’t have. A proactive check on your insurance coverage is very wise.
My third resolution is to immediately start planning a family vacation for 2016, while lots of options are open to me. My AAA travel agent is an excellent source for finding the perfect destination to keep all my family members happy. It’s never too early to start planning.
I hope these suggested resolutions help you begin your new year in a safe, healthy and positive way.
