are simply beautiful – spacious and intimate at the same time. The cruise line boasts four elegant and completely refreshed ships – Seven Seas Explorer,
Seven Seas Voyager, Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Navigator – and launching in February 2020, Seven Seas Splendor.
My recent sailing aboard Seven Seas Navigator (October 2018) was a 10-day fall foliage “Iconic Lighthouses and Pink Sands” cruise round-trip New York City, with ports of call in Newport, RI; Boston, MA; Bar Harbor, ME; Halifax, Nova Scotia; and St. Georges, Bermuda.
It was fantastic. The ease and convenience of sailing in and out of New York City; the onboard luxurious lifestyle and ambience; the over-the-top delicious cuisine; the friendly, pampering and professional staff; the beautiful ship and suites, and the ports of call – I could go on and on.
While onboard, I posed a few questions to Captain Atanas Kostadinov; General Manager Anatoli Makaev, and Sales Manager Kate Otto.
Q: What sets Regent Seven Seas apart from the other luxury cruise lines?
A: Captain: Attention to all details and excellence in all departments. We strive to create a family experience among the crew and guests.
A: Anatoli: We’ve got the best crew at sea. They are genuine and friendly, with attention to details combined with our beautiful ships and our all-inclusive program.
A: Kate: First and foremost, our staff. Business class air included in all transcontinental cruises, and everything is included. No nickel and diming our guests.
Q: What are your top three favorite ports of call and why?
A: Captain: Ketchikan, Alaska – beautiful natural scenery and quite tidy. Kotor, Montenegro – fascinating sailing in and out, and well-preserved walled city. Auckland, New Zealand – very clean, organized and relaxing.
A: Anatoli: Santorini, Greece – spectacular scenery and great food. Hong Kong – amazing shopping , sights and sounds. Stockholm, Sweden – beautiful and clean city.
A: Kate: Istanbul, Turkey – So exotic and overwhelming to all the senses. Moorea, French Polynesia – gorgeous island overflowing with beautiful flowers and people. Santorini, Greece – breathtaking views and scenery.

s many of you know, I am an avid world cruiser,
with128 cruises under my belt, and have had the good fortune of sailing aboard Regent Seven Seas Cruises many times.
The luxurious all-suite, all-
inclusive cruise vacation
experience is a very spoiling
lifestyle at sea, but did
you know that it is also an
excellent value for your travel
dollar – especially now?
Of course, a luxury cruise
means different things to
different people. But for
most of us it means fewer
people, smaller ships, more space, no lines, spacious staterooms and suites, excellent food, attentive
and gracious service, and a sense of indulgent freedom from the ordinary. Spending each day of your vacation exactly how you wish – exploring off-the-beaten-path and exotic locations, meeting and chatting with like-minded travelers, or enjoying time all to yourself.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises is the most all-inclusive cruise line in the world, beginning with round-
trip airfare and, if you book a transcontinental
sailing, business class airfare
is included. (Let me repeat
that – business class airfare is included for all transcontinental sailings.) Pre-cruise hotel stays; transfers between airport and ship; excursions in every port; complimentary and unlimited beverages including fine wines, premium spirits, sparkling and still bottles waters, specialty coffees and teas; all-gourmet
dining venues, including dining al fresco at Sette Mari at La Veranda (taking in the stunning scenery along the way is magical); gratuities; unlimited Wi- Fi, and so much more.
The moment you step onboard a Regent Seven Seas ship you quickly realize that no detail is overlooked; you feel the genuine warmth and sophisticated comfort immediately. The ships
