Spring is quickly approaching and if history means anything, then many AAA members are beginning to think about travel and to make plans for their annual vacations. This time of year, I’m often asked about what’s new and exciting in the world of travel. Members reach out seeking my recommendations and guidance on where they should go, what they should see and do.
It is always an exciting time for me to discuss
the virtues of so many destinations, as the recommended list is very long. The very best
places to go are those that have been thoroughly surveyed and tested by our well-traveled staff and are recommended based on the ability to deliver the right quality of experience for our members.
Additionally, each year presents unique events which further provide reasons to experience a destination. In 2020, such events include the Olympics in Japan and the World Expo in Dubai, and I would be remiss if I did not mention the Oberammergau Passion Play. Performed once every 10 years, Oberammergau will be the main event for Europe travelers in 2020.
Events aside, AAA has recommendations that are geographically diverse, but also can offer points of interest for every traveler, whether you desire to see the Northern Lights in Iceland, spot lions on the plains of Africa or leave footprints in the sand on a Caribbean beach.
