AAA Central Penn members once again showed their generosity by donating gently used luggage to our Travel Store’s Donate for a Discount program. Members who brought their gently used luggage to our offices received a coupon for 15% off their entire wheeled luggage purchase. Members donated more than 350 pieces between Oct. 27 and Nov. 8, 2014. AAA Central Penn delivered the donated luggage to the following youth and children’s agencies:
Boys and Girls Club of Central Pennsylvania – offers a drug-free, alcohol-free atmosphere with caring professionals, who provide not only a safe and positive place to be, but also offer programs geared to today’s challenges through specific structured and guidance-oriented activities to over 1,300 members.
Water Street Rescue Mission – provides rescue and renewal services to those in need in the South-Central Pennsylvania Area.
PA State Resource Family Association – works supportively with foster, adoptive, and kinship families, and with local foster parent associations and agencies.
United Methodist Home for Children – provides a caring environment for Central Pennsylvania’s children in need.
Families United Network – provides children and youth with a safe, nurturing, community environment through a continuum of services, which focuses on reunification or permanency.
Adams County Children and Youth Services – protects children, promotes strong families, promotes child well-being, and provides timely permanency.
