Jessica E. Meyers Chairman, AAA Central Penn
I’m very pleased to serve my second year term as your Chairman. The first year was an exciting one, as I collaborated with
the board, management and staff of AAA Central Penn.
I enjoyed making friends with many of you as we ventured on the Chairman’s Trip to Italy in 2015 and I’m looking
the Board and management as we continue to look for ways to increase the value of your AAA membership.
Now that warmer weather is here and travel plans are on your mind, I would like to remind you to
take advantage of the expert help that comes with AAA membership. We’re here to help with all your travel plans. And be sure to visit our travel stores, located in all our offices. With forthcoming graduations, weddings, Father’s Day, Mother’s
Day – and the list goes on – a membership or new piece of luggage is a “home run” in the gift department. AAA Central Penn wishes you safe travels this summer and remember to always take your AAA membership card.

I am sure we were all happy to say goodbye to winter. March 20 brought the first day of spring and we all anticipate the first day of summer, which arrives June 20. Thoughts of scheduling trips, picnics and other
warm weather activities are certainly at the top of our list.
I was talking to one of my associates the other day, and what he said has stuck with
be celebrated this year on May 30. This special day became an official Federal Holiday in 1971, even though observance began shortly after the Civil War and was known as Decoration Day. In 2000, Congress passed and the President signed into
law “The National Moment of Remembrance Act.” This act encourages Americans to pause wherever they are and observe a moment of silence on Memorial Day at 3:00 p.m. (local time), honoring those men and women who died while serving in the U.S. Military. The staff and I are proud to honor these fallen soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
