Every year AAA updates the trusted TourBook guides to provide members with current, reliable information for travel planning and decisions. We also do a little fine tuning to ensure the format and content continue to fit the way you travel.
This year you’ll find a bit more space devoted
to the content you use most, and a bit less to resources provided for occasional reference – now available online. The result? Less bulk, more focus.
What to Expect
First, we’ve reduced the user’s guide in the front of the book to a trim three pages, and moved
the fully detailed version to an online TourBook resource page, one for each TourBook title. Plus, we’ve moved three other references to the online resource page: the Metric Equivalents Chart, Driving Distances Map and Points of Interest Index. To access these materials, use the website address provided on the CONTENTS page of each book. The reference materials can be viewed as PDF files or printed out and tucked in the back of your book.
In addition, we’ve better focused the listings to
highlight places dedicated to offering exceptional member service, value or experiences:
For attractions, this means fewer listings in the printed books – primarily those offering
a member discount or rated as AAA GEMs (offering a Great Experience for Members). And for travelers seeking more options, every AAA Approved attraction is still listed in AAA’s online travel information products, where more information doesn’t overload your travel bag.
For hotels and restaurants, the difference is in the size of each listing. Some have been reduced to just the essentials, while full details and photos are provided for those with AAA licensing agreements, indicating their commitment to AAA member business. In AAA’s online travel information products, where space is virtually unlimited, you’ll find full details for every AAA Approved hotel and restaurant.
