Northern California
June 16 – 24, 2018
California, here you come! San Francisco, where you might leave your heart, welcomes you to its hills and towers, piers and sea lions, and iconic cable cars. Cross the Golden Gate Bridge and head to
the Napa Valley, noted for its hillsides of vineyards, Wine Train and wine tastings. Lake Tahoe’s azure waters surrounded by evergreen trees and Sierra Nevada Mountains are especially enjoyable on a sunset cruise. Nevada’s Virginia City is a still-lively ghost town from the 1800’s mining boom. Yosemite National Park is renowned for its tall waterfalls
and wild, natural beauty. Coastal Monterey and its aquarium, Carmel and Pebble Beach with its famous scenic 17-Mile-Drive, and Redwoods State Park are among the many other treasures of this guided tour.
Rocky Mountaineer Train &
Calgary Stampede Rodeo
July 6 – 14, 2018
This wonderful tour links an exciting rodeo, spectacular scenery, a fabulous train ride, and beautiful gardens. The Calgary Stampede is a rip-roaring event that includes chuck-wagon races, bull-riding and other classic rodeo competitions. The Canadian Rockies’ national parks and resorts of Banff and Lake Louise are photogenic standouts worthy of everyone’s bucket list. Rocky Mountaineer’s private train of deluxe dome railcars rolling through the Canadian Rockies is the very best way to travel along remote rivers, through deep canyons below snow- covered peaks, and across the Continental Divide. Victoria, on Vancouver Island and home of the lovely Butchart Gardens, is visited via a cruise through the picturesque Gulf Islands of British Columbia.

Make a pilgrimage to this annual premier celebration of blooms, blossoms, buds and plants. This year’s theme, Wonders of Water, will be interpreted in myriad creative displays and landscapes representing and reimagining diverse environments to delight even the most jaded garden enthusiast. Stroll among fountains and waterfalls, tropical rainforests and semi- arid deserts, plus many other exotic scenes, each with water at its heart. Expand your enjoyment of the day with an optional dinner at Bistro Romano, originally a Philadelphia merchant’s home dating from the 1700s.
Western Maryland Railroad
March 24, 2018
All aboard for a trip back in time to experience
modes of travel from the 1960s, 1850s, and early 1800s. A round-trip train ride from Cumberland, Maryland, on the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad
is pulled by a diesel locomotive from the 1960s. This picturesque route through the Allegheny Mountains to Mountain View is narrated; lunch is enjoyed aboard the comfortable train. Cumberland was the western terminus of the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal in the 1850s and now is home to a station museum, canal boat
and tow path. Dinner is included at a National Road log stagecoach inn, dating from 1818, adjacent to a heritage preservation village.
Outlaws, Angels & Wheeling Jamboree April 6 – 8, 2018

the ‘80s and ‘90s, and performances of country hits originally made famous by Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette. Attend the 85th Anniversary Wheeling Jamboree concert headlined by Ronnie Milsap, whose six Grammys and 40 #1 hits earned him membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame.
