Chairman’s Message
Larry Brown Chairman, AAA Central Penn
holidays and mark the turning of another year. We travel to be with family and friends to give thanks for the relationships we have and their importance in our lives. We take time to review our year and its blessings, challenges and changes – it is the time of year when we take a moment
accidents are alcohol-related. Make sure that your holiday guests are not “over-served,” encourage designated drivers, and above all, act responsibly. Let’s make this holiday season a safe one.
This Christmas season marks the 16th year that
AAA Central Penn’s 11 offices have participated in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. This program has brought hope and joy to children of the area through the generosity of our members. Please join us in lending a hand in bringing happiness to local children in need by donating a new, unwrapped toy
at any AAA Central Penn office beginning Monday, November 5, and ending Friday, December 7.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, management and staff of your club, I wish you and yours a blessed holiday season and a happy, healthy, safe and prosperous New Year.
Larry Brown
Chairman, AAA Central Penn
t this time of the year we come Unfortunately, the holiday season is often marred together to celebrate the by traffic accidents and over 50 percent of highway
to appreciate all the things we may take for granted. Among the things we are appreciative of here at
AAA Central Penn are you, our members. We have met many of you through our Travel Department, our Roadside Assistance calls and your visits to our offices where you take advantage of the many benefits your membership provides. We are appreciative of your many years of loyal membership. I assure you that your safety is our goal and we will continue to find more ways to increase the value of the membership card you carry in your wallet. Thank you for your confidence in us to provide you with the peace of mind your membership promises.

ce and snow are a few short
weeks away while Mother Nature’s spectacular leaf show has given way to shorter days and frosty nights. Thoughts of holidays with friends and family are in the forefront and planning, shopping and cooking for these special events are ever-present during this hectic time of year. This is one of the busiest times of the year
membership provides many benefits including 24-7, 365 days-a-year Roadside Service, travel planning and great money-saving discounts from our national and local partners. It is truly the gift that keeps giving all year long – a package of peace of mind and savings. Don’t forget about our travel stores, located in each of our branches, to find that special gift for the traveler on your list.
Thoughts of travel to warmer climates should
not distract us from icy roads and winter’s driving challenges. Make sure your battery is charged, put all- season oil in your engine and put antifreeze in your car that can withstand temperatures to -30 degrees F. Keep a pair of sturdy jumper cables in your trunk, along with anti-skid material, a collapsible show shovel, a blanket or two and a pair of boots. Snacks, bottled water and extra warm clothing should be included for you and your passengers. Please keep yourself and yours safely seat-belted on all your trips “over the river and through the woods” this winter season.
The staff, management and I extend our best wishes to all for a safe and happy holiday season and a healthy, prosperous New Year.

for travel. It seems if you’re here, you need to be there, and vice versa. Airline reservations need to be made, auto trips planned and hotel reservations secured. Your club is an invaluable source for help in arranging your travel. Let our knowledgeable staff assist you in planning a holiday cruise to warmer climates to escape the chill of Old Man Winter or that trip home for the holidays. It’s never too soon to plan.
Congratulations to our Camp Hill Travel Agency, which was recognized by the Harrisburg Magazine 2018 Readers’Poll as“Simply the Best”Travel Agency and
our Harrisburg Travel Agency recognized as “Readers’ Choice.”
Let AAA take some of the stress out of your shopping, too. Each year more and more of our members have found that rather than fight the holiday shopping crowds at local malls, a wise alternative is buying AAA gift memberships for their friends and family. The
