For me, fall is the most beautiful time of the
year. Mother Nature pulls out all the stops when coloring the beautiful fall landscape, with emphasis on the trees. The aroma of roasting chestnuts, picking apples, enjoying a glass of cider, choosing the perfect pumpkin, cooler nights and days, one more trip to the beach and fall crispness
yours. We are here 24/7, ready and willing to assist if a roadside event occurs.
I am also aware that the holiday season will soon be upon us and that now might be a good time to plan a special trip. Take a look at our travel section; perhaps the perfect trip is waiting for you and yours – it’s never too soon to start. Our staff is always happy to help you with your travel plans.
October is Car Care Month, a time to focus on maintaining your car to ensure that it’s safe for you and your passengers. On page 20 we are highlighting our Approved Auto Repair program and include a directory of AAR facilities – service facilities that give you AAA’s assurance and peace of mind that they are qualified to maintain and repair your vehicle.

The first day of autumn is September 22 and as I hear so often at this time of the year,
"I wonder where the summer has gone!” Another indication that summer is drawing to a close is Labor Day. On June 28, 1894 Congress passed an act making the first Monday in September of each year Labor Day, a legal holiday to pay tribute to the creators of so

A sure sign of the changing seasons is the big yellow buses transporting our students to and from school. Please be aware of these folks, many “first timers” as they head to bus stops, ride their bikes and walk to and from school. Your club is honored and proud to sponsor the AAA School Safety Patrol Program, which has helped improve safe travel to and from school for more than 100 years. To date, we currently support more than 80 schools within our territory by providing them with materials at no cost, as well as an award to recognize all of the patrollers at the end of each school year. Although we bid farewell to summer, fall is a great time for a weekend getaway – days are cooler and the scenery is outstanding as the trees sport beautiful shades of red and gold in celebration of the season. This is a perfect time to experience some of our very popular trips – fall foliage in New England and Myrtle Beach, to name a few. However, there’s no need
to travel far to find a special getaway. We recently celebrated the 2018 AAA Four and Five Diamond award winners: the AAA Four Diamond restaurant, The
