EXPLORE
ERIE!
Presque Isle State Park / Lake Erie
This is a Natural Landmark and Pennsylvania’s most visited state park. You will find sandy beaches and endless outdoor recreation. Presque Isle (French for “almost an island”) welcomes over 4 million visitors annually.
Discover Presque Isle’s distinctive blend of natural beauty plus year-round recreation: swimming, boating, biking, surfing, birding and fishing. Explore on foot, wheels, surreys, skis, pontoons or kayaks.
Lake Erie Wine Country
Located between
Harborcreek, Pennsylvania
and Silver Creek, New
York. With only a handful
of stop lights from
beginning to end, your
drive through almost
50 miles of vineyards in
Lake Erie Wine Country
will transport you to a bygone era, where people are friendly, and sleepy, quaint Victorian towns are calm and inviting. Along the way you’ll enjoy stopping at any or all of the 23 wineries to sip, swirl and savor the true taste of the region.
Visit during the 2019 Wine Country Harvest Festival ~ September 27-29.
From its modest beginnings in 1981 as a
small street fair to the exciting regional event
it is today, the Wine Country Harvest Festival – affectionately known as WineFest – has continued to improve with age, just like fine wine. WineFest encompasses two parks: Gibson Park, one of the original downtown festival venues, and Gravel Pit Park, the largest festival site. Attendees have the
opportunity to sample 100 different wines, enjoy the sounds of dozens of entertainers, try their luck at grape stomping, and meander through hundreds of craft and exhibitor tents. Part street fair, part arts and crafts festival, part music festival, part harvest festival, today’s WineFest hosts an average of 15,000 visitors from Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Ontario, and beyond who come to sample the best wines from the region and experience a weekend celebration of music,
art and the fruits of the vine!
Arts & Culture
Spanning performance stages to exhibit walls, Erie’s cultural diversity blends a metropolitan feel with engaging settings, riveting
concerts, Broadway performances, theatrical musicals and dramas, national touring acts and artists. Outstanding experiences await...an evening of live music in our vineyards or at the beach, theatrical performances in the park or a day filled with museum and gallery tours.
Explore downtown Erie's Arts Scene With Ease! The Cultural Loop is a free trolley service that operates every 15 minutes on Saturday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to midnight, along a dedicated route set apart from Erie Metro Transit Authority’s regularly scheduled lines. The service provides door-to-door transportation to and from great businesses and arts, cultural and sporting events in downtown Erie.
