As I said at the beginning, we don’t have children, but
I have ventured to the children’s areas of the ship to check them out during open house sessions. I’ve had fun piloting the ship through the Caribbean on the navigation simulators, checking out some of the toys in Andy’s Room and getting the latest intel
at the Marvel Super Hero
Academy.
Most of my time has been spent in the adult areas, which include Cove Café, the coffee lounge, and a pool with spas, that is 18 and older all day, but children can walk through the area to get to the elevator or stateroom. But after 9 p.m., certain areas of the ship are off limits to those 18 and under. One lounge is a piano bar, one
is a sports bar/pub and one is a nightclub with dancing and other entertainment. And your host for these events will be very energetic and fun.
If your cruise takes you
to Disney’s private island,
Castaway Cay, be prepared to be blown away. This isle in the Bahamas offers the opportunity to go snorkeling,
hike or bike around the island or just relax in the sand. Like the ships, it also offers an adults-only area for even more tranquility.
If you’re really excited about the idea of taking a Disney Cruise but worried about cost, let’s talk. You can
definitely find other cruises to the same destinations for less than Disney charges, but you will not get the same quality of service. Disney Cruise Line does have discounts offer available, examples include Military and AAA. My best suggestion is to book your cruise as soon you know your basic wants and needs and when offers are running. Plus, there are opportunities for future cruise savings and onboard credits once you get onboard and book a book a future cruise.
Before you take off on your
first Disney cruise, look online to find other tips, tricks and suggestions about your itinerary and ship. No matter what, it’s sure to be a magical journey!
