AAA’s Defensive Driving Class:
More Than an Insurance Discount
When was the last time you took a Defensive Driving class?
New York State offers drivers a chance to save on their auto insurance premiums and possibly reduce violation points on their driver’s licenses. This 10% reduction on your liability and collision insurance premiums (each year for three years) is a pretty good deal. Since the reduction is a percentage, the amount you save will vary. The three- year discount, minus the cost of taking the class, should be considered your compensation for the six hours of class time.
Getting an insurance discount is great, but your time is valuable, too. We offer a very up-to-date program. Not all Defensive Driving classes are created equal. Automotive technology is advancing at a blistering pace. We can help you see and understand it all. Your time will not be wasted. This course is used by the U.S. Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marine Corps to prevent traffic fatalities worldwide.

Online Defensive Driving classes are another option, but our classroom version tops them all. Ask questions, be engaged; this class is anything but boring. Here’s another suggestion: take the class with friends and family. The time goes more quickly and you can learn and laugh together. Let’s face it, we see dangerous aggressive drivers every day. Your fellow students will help remind you that you’re not the last careful driver.
