Courtney Trevett
The AAA Hudson Valley Insurance Agency is proud to announce its newest addition to the team, Courtney Trevett.
Trevett recently acquired her New York State property and
casualty license and is thrilled to start her insurance career at the AAA Hudson Valley Insurance Agency. Having worked in the hospitality and customer service field for the past nine years, Trevett comes to the insurance world with an immense amount of experience servicing the public. She is eager to work with AAA members and to continue to grow the Insurance Agency.
AAA Every Day: How long have you been with AAA Hudson Valley Insurance Agency?
Courtney Trevett: I received my New York State Personal Lines Insurance license during my first month and I have been with the Agency for more than three months.
AAA: What led to your interest in the insurance industry? CT: I come from the hospitality industry, and I was looking to start a career and felt it was the right time. When my manager came across my résumé, she felt
my experience in customer service would lend well to working in insurance, and now, here I am.

AAA: So far, how has your experience been in the world of insurance?
CT: My experience so far has been very intriguing and eye-opening. Insurance is a very complex world. I was surprised to see how many things factor into rates for insurance. Learning all about home and auto insurance coverages has been compelling. I have been enjoying educating members on different coverage options.
AAA: What is the biggest word of advice that you now give to people regarding auto coverage?
CT: Remember that when you use your auto insurance for a tow that it could count as a claim. This can increase your premium and ultimately lead to you being dropped from your carrier. Using your AAA membership, you won’t touch your insurance premium.
AAA: How does the future for personal lines insurance look?
CT: The future of personal lines is very promising. Insurance carriers are always coming out with new options for coverage. I see a lot of growth coming for the AAA Hudson Valley Insurance Agency.
AAA: What’s an interesting fact about you?
CT: An interesting fact about me is that I am an avid fisherman and love the great outdoors.
