I recently had the privilege of attending a familiarization trip to Universal Orlando Resort, and I have much to share with AAA members.
When you book a Universal package with AAA, you automatically receive:

Universal currently has four onsite hotels – Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Lowes Royal Pacific Resort, Hard Rock Hotel and Lowes Portofino Bay Hotel – all of which make park visits very convenient. A shuttle service takes hotel guests to and from the parks, and there is a water taxi service as well. In the evening, each property offers bus transportation
to the many on-site restaurants. Later this year, Universal will open a new hotel, Sapphire Falls, which will be a Caribbean-inspired property.
Staying at an onsite hotel is a good idea, as it
allows you to enter the park one hour before the general public. Every visitor should take advantage of this, especially since some rides do not honor
the Express Pass, which allows you to take separate, quicker lines onto the rides. The Express Pass is available if you are staying at the Royal Pacific, Hard Rock Hotel or Portofino Hotel. If you would like to purchase a dining plan, you can choose between a full-service dining plan or a quick-service dining plan that includes over 100 dining locations throughout Universal’s two theme parks and Universal City Walk.
It’s a 5-minute walk from the Universal gate to Universal’s Islands of Adventure, but you will need a Park-to Park ticket to get into both parks. The same applies if you are visiting the new and very popular
Wizarding World of Harry Potter. This summer, a new King Kong ride will also be opening.
If you are a Harry Potter fan, consider purchasing
a Harry Potter package. The package requires a 4-night hotel stay and the purchase of a 4-day Park-to-Park ticket, but guests also receive early park admission, breakfast at Three Broomsticks and Leaky Cauldron, and a shutter button video, which is a storybook of your family dressed up and acting out scenes to Harry Potter clips.
Universal also offers a VIP Experience package that includes a private guide to customize your tour for you, with exclusive backstage access, priority Front of the Line Access, reserved seating at shows, and more.
