Tread depth is the most important indicator of tire wear. Measure your tread depth using a depth gauge to determine if you need to replace your current tires noting that 2/32nds of an inch is considered unsafe.
Closely check your tires for any signs of wear, such as discoloration or cracks. If you are unsure if what you see is dangerous or acceptable, stop by our AAA Car Care Center for a free inspection by our tire experts. When buying new tires the most critical piece is matching your appropriate tire size. This information is printed both on your tire’s sidewall and on the placard inside your driver’s door jamb.
The make and model, as well as how you used your vehicle, are other keys to selecting the correct tire. Your tire choice may vary whether you simply drive around town, take frequent long trips or plan to travel both on and off road.
You also should keep in mind what tire benefits are
