to explore the shoreline’s coral reefs, mangroves, flora and fauna by canoe with a guide to see herons, egrets, pelicans and waterfowl, as barracudas and scores of other fish swim below.
Jamaica is also known for its majestic plantations and Great Houses, which tell the story of more than 350 years of written history. At the Bellefield Great House, stroll through gardens with
centuries-old trees and step inside the grand house showcasing 18th-century colonial livings and Jamaican culinary history.
While you are in Jamaica, be sure to sample the local cuisine. The African spice rubs that are used in Jamaica’s creole-style cooking make delicious jerk and stews. Fresh fish abound, as do locally grown tropical fruits.
