The AAA Schuylkill County Insurance Agency observed its 50th anniversary in October with a celebration thanking its customers for their support throughout the years. The anniversary was commemorated in the company’s main office in Pottsville, as well as at the branch office in Tamaqua.
The company was formed in 1966, when the Keystone Insurance Agency merged with the Schuylkill County Motor Club to form SCMC Inc., doing business as AAA Schuylkill County Insurance Agency.
The independent insurance agency represents Travelers, CSAA, Donegal, Progressive, National General, Aegis, Foremost and Infinity Insurance companies. The eight employees are all well-versed in offering automobile, home, motorcycle, boat, mobile home, motor home,
50th
RV and life insurance.
Prizes, including a flat-screen television, gift cards and gift bags, were
awarded by raffle. In addition, a number of small gift items were available to anyone who visited either office in October. Cupcakes for the celebration were provided by Momma C’s Bakery of West Penn Township.
