AAA has select contract garages throughout the U.S. and Canada to come to your assistance 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Emergency Road Service phone number to call in Shelby County is (937) 498-2171 and outside Shelby County is 1-800-aaa-HELP (222-4357).
Emergency Towing
If your car cannot be started or will not run under its own power without causing damage, it will be towed to the station rendering service. If the member wishes the car towed elsewhere, the station will tow it free of charge for three miles from the point of pickup. A charge of $2.65 for each additional mile will be made to the member. Only one tow per breakdown will be made at AAA’s expense. If your vehicle becomes disabled while towing a light-duty trailer (fifth-wheel trailers are excluded), you may be required to pay for trailer towing.
Emergency Fuel Delivery
A supply of fuel will be delivered to your disabled vehicle to enable you to reach the nearest service station. Specific brands or octane ratings cannot be promised. You will be charged the pump price for the fuel.
lockout service
If your keys are locked inside the vehicle, service
will be sent to gain entrance. If your keys are lost or broken, or the service provider cannot gain entrance to your vehicle, locksmith service up the $50 will
be provided. If necessary, the club will also provide towing service.
Extrication/Winching service
If your car gets stuck, your AAA membership includes extrication service to pull it free. Your car will be
extricated or winched as long as it can be safely reached from a passable, established road or thoroughfare. You may be charged if more than one service truck and/or operator is needed. In the event of weather emergencies (flood, blizzards, hurricanes, etc.), extrication of vehicles parked on streets, driveways, parking lots or alleys may be deferred until the roads are reasonably clear and safely passable.
Tire service
If your vehicle’s spare is inflated and serviceable, it will be installed to replace a flat tire. If no inflated spare is available, the vehicle will be towed in accordance with the towing provision.
Emergency Mechanical First Aid
When a AAA service provider responds to your call, the provider will first attempt minor mechanical adjustments not requiring parts or supplies to make your car operable. If these efforts do not get your car started, towing service will be offered.
Battery service
Only AAA Battery Service comes to you – home, office or other preferred location – to test, assess and, if necessary, install a new AAA battery. AAA delivers free, accurate testing with state-of-the-art battery testers specifically developed for mobile
use. The diagnostics test is quick, accurate and, best of all, FREE to AAA members.
We understand that your time is important, so AAA Battery Service offers a complete line of batteries to fit almost any vehicle. Quick, professional service is guaranteed, as a qualified battery specialist will attend to your vehicle while you wait.
Reimbursement services
If you have followed the procedure outlined to obtain Emergency Road Service and AAA service is not available, you may obtain and pay for your own service and apply for reimbursement with 60 days. Claims should be submitted with the original receipt, your AAA membership number and a brief description of the circumstances. Reimbursement will be based on the prevailing commercial rate for the region where the vehicle was disabled. When AAA service is available and you elect to use someone else, reimbursement is limited to the amount the club would have paid the nearest AAA facility for providing the service.
service limitations
The intentional misuse or excessive use of your membership card could result in service limitations, extra charges or membership cancellation. AAA Shelby County reserves the right to terminate or decline renewal of a membership for permitting
