Jekyll Island and the Golden Isles March 11 – 23, 2023
It’s the perfect time of year to travel south and visit some of the most charming beach towns! Join us as we travel to Charlotte, North Carolina for an overnight stop. After breakfast the group will have a stop in
Beaufort, South Carolina for lunch before departing for Jekyll Island to check in for the next four nights, followed up with dinner at a local restaurant.
The next morning it’s time to start sightseeing on the island with a visit to Driftwood Beach and a trip to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center to get up-close and personal with these cute sea creatures. For lunch the tour will be surrounded by rich history at the Jekyll Island Club Resort, which dates back to 1888. Before dinner there is a tram tour of the historic district.
Day four of this vacation has the group traveling to Amelia Island where you can relax and enjoy a river cruise that features views of wildlife, Fernandina’s shrimp boats, historic Old Towne and Ft. Clinch to see the wild horses of Cumberland Island. Afterwards we take a scenic drive to St. Augustine for a trolley tour of the area. This evening dinner is included at the Columbia Restaurant.
In the morning enjoy some free time before departing for St. Simons Island for a local guided sightseeing tour of the largest barrier island in the Golden Isles. The trip to St. Simons wouldn’t be complete without a shrimp boat excursion aboard the Lady Jane and dinner. The following morning
it is time to depart Jekyll Island and head north to Chattanooga for one night with dinner at Puckett’s, which features Blue Grass Americana Entertainment. The last day of this wonderful trip is spent traveling back to Sidney.

Southern Charm Featuring New Orleans April 21 – 29, 2023
The next day we arrive at the Pioneer Woman Mercantile in the heart of Osage County, Oklahoma. This unique destination features a bakery, deli and a general store. After seeing the amazing treats and smelling the wonderful aromas you will be happy to know that dinner is at the Pioneer Woman Event Venue.
Day three of this trip finds us in Parker, Texas for lunch and a tour of the iconic Southfork Ranch. We

The next morning after breakfast get ready for an HGTV kind of day! We head out with a local guide on Fixer Upper Adventure by visiting and sightseeing at Common Grounds, JDH Iron Design, Earle-Harrison House, Fixer Upper Homes (drive by only) and other sights related to the “Fixer Upper” show. The rest of the day is free time for you to spend as you wish. There is a wide variety of things to do, such as going to the Magnolia Market the Silos, having lunch at one of the food trucks or Magnolia Table, or hopping on the Silo District Trolley (it’s free) and shop till you drop! River Square is home to Spice Village, which features many different vendors.
Day five of our journey brings us to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the night, with dinner at a local restaurant. The following morning has us right back into HGTV mode as we find ourselves in Laurel, Mississippi. Here we visit the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art and get a chance to shop at Laurel Mercantile and Scotsman General Store & Woodshop – both
of them are owned by Erin and Ben Napier. Don’t worry, the day isn’t complete without a guided tour of Laurel and HGTV “Home Town” sites in a pink Hummer limo!
Our seventh day of this fabulous tour has us stopping in Cullman, Alabama for lunch and a tour at the Ave Maria Grotto. This four-acre garden park is nestled among the grounds of Alabama’s only Benedictine Abbey and it features more that 125 miniature reproductions of famous edifices and scenes from around the world. We end the day in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The last day gives us just enough time to visit the National Corvette Museum before we set out for home.
