Be a part of our perennial favorite tour to the Big Apple. We’ll stay in the heart of Manhattan all three nights in an excellent location, the Hotel Edison, where we will be within walking distance of the Theater District, Times Square, Rockefeller Center and so much more. On our first morning in New York City, we take a ferry to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Then we stop at ground zero to see the National September 11 Memorial & Museum that opened in 2011. In addition, everyone will have admission included to the National September 11 Memorial & Museum at ground zero and the opportunity to choose between going up the Top of the Rock observation deck after sunset or going up to the One World Trade Center observation deck in the daytime to see a dramatic view of the New York City skyline from a different location in the highest building in North America. Then we drive through Chinatown, Greenwich Village and Soho on our way back to Hotel Edison, where you will have some free time this evening to explore New York City further. On our second morning in New York City, we will meet our local guide for an enlightening tour of northern Manhattan and Harlem with a stop
in Central Park. Along the way, we will also see the exterior of the famous Apollo Theater. We will take
a fascinating tour of Radio City Music Hall with the opportunity to meet a Rockette and learn what it takes to become one. Those wishing to get a photo with a Rockette can do so on this tour. After some time to freshen up, we will go to an included dinner at Buca Di Beppo Italian Restaurant near Times Square and then enjoy included orchestra seats to a premier Broadway musical. Other highlights of this memorable tour include the opportunity for everyone to watch a portion of the Today Show from outside NBC Studios.
We visit the Empire State Building, at which time anyone who wishes to visit the Macy’s flagship store can do so. Before departing New York City, we stop at Tiffany’s and visit the five-star Plaza Hotel near Central Park for those wishing to see it. This is an exceptional itinerary for the price, with four meals included (3 breakfasts and 1 dinner). A deposit of only $100 per person is required to reserve your space.

OHIO STATE REFORMATORY
25th Anniversary of “The Shawshank Redemption” Mansfield, Ohio
Friday, Aug. 16
Time goes by quickly and this year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of “The Shawshank Redemption.” Several segments of this movie
were filmed on site at the Ohio State Reformatory
in Mansfield, Ohio. In commemoration of this anniversary, some special festivities will be planned at the Ohio State Reformatory and some actors in that movie will attend. In the morning we visit Malabar Farm State Park, which had a brief appearance in
the film. We will take a short wagon ride to Pugh Cabin where at this time, Scott Mann who played
a golf pro in the movie and Renee Blaine who played Linda Dufresne in the film are planning to be present for free autographs. Lunch is included at Der Dutchman Restaurant in Bellville, Ohio. We will take a self-guided tour the Ohio State Reformatory at the most advantageous time in the afternoon. Another highlight will be an included ride for everyone on the large, historic carousel at Richland Carousel
Park in downtown Mansfield, just three miles from the Ohio State Reformatory. In the evening, we will have admission to Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield for a special movie actor discussion followed by viewing the movie Shawshank Redemption where
it premiered in the U.S. back in 1994 at this historic theatre. This tour is a “must do” for all those who have a real interest in the Shawshank Redemption movie.

TALL SHIPS IN ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA Saturday, Aug. 24
For those who did not get on our Tall Ships in Cleveland tour on July 12, here’s another opportunity to see the same Tall Ships in Erie, Pennsylvania.
We travel by deluxe motor coach and visit the beautiful Erie Maritime Museum on Presque Isle in the morning. Then we arrive at the Tall Ships and everyone will receive a general admission ticket to view all of the Tall Ships and walk on board several
of them at your leisure. Everyone will also receive
a special day sail pass and will cruise on a Tall Ship (either the Lettie G. Howard or Appledore V) out
of Erie for 90 minutes. Later, we visit the Perry Monument on Presque Isle and have included dinner at the famous Jo Roots Restaurant in Erie. This tour is chock-full of fun for the entire family.

OHIO’S AMISH EXPERIENCE Friday, Sept. 13
Experience a memorable day with the Ohio Amish and begin with a visit to Behalt – the Amish/Mennonite Heritage Center in Berlin for a 30 minute guided
tour about the history of the Amish and Mennonite faiths. Then we visit an Amish school and go inside a classroom to see what the students are learning. Enjoy an Amish buggy ride later followed by included lunch in an Amish home near Sugarcreek. In the afternoon, we visit an Old Order Amish buggy maker followed by a stop at an Amish bulk food store near Berlin and a
