Dawn Carey
A lifelong resident of
Cuyahoga Falls, Dawn
is married with one
child. She has been in
the travel industry for
26 years, 25 of those
with AAA Akron. Dawn
has traveled to Europe,
the Caribbean, Central
America and throughout the United States. She also has been on many cruises, such as Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Uniworld River Cruises and Disney Cruise Line.
As a Certified Travel Associate, Dawn has a wealth of knowledge to assist you when making your vacation plans. Whether it is a cruise, escorted tour, an all-inclusive package or just a hotel or car reservation, you can contact Dawn for her expert advice for any of your travel needs.
Michael Hughes
Michael is the branch manager at the AAA Fairlawn office. He began his travel agent career in 1992, joined AAA Akron in 2002
and became branch
manager in 2009.
Michael has always
loved travel and will never forget standing on the beach in Acapulco on his honeymoon, thinking that he wanted to get into the travel industry. Whether it is a weekend at Cedar Point or an overseas destination, Michael loves all types of travel. He recently returned from a wonderful family vacation to Disney World and Universal Orlando.
Eric Wertz
Eric began traveling
with his parents on
vacations when he was
10 years old. Over the
years, his passion for
travel has grown. By
age 30, he had traveled
to all seven continents.
He began his career at
AAA Akron in 1998 in domestic travel. By 2001 he began to assist with the escorted tours program. Eight years later, he began to manage this program. Today, he serves as Escorted Tours Manager for AAA Akron, putting together group tours as well
as escorting them to exciting destinations all over the world.
Emily Boxler
Emily graduated from
Associated Travel School
of Miami, Florida, with
a travel degree. She
continued her education
and earned her Certified
Travel Consultant degree
in 1979 and has worked
in the travel industry for
more than 43 years. Emily enjoys booking cruises to anywhere and everywhere, not only for the value but for having the chance to see more than one destination during your vacation.
What do you love most about your job? “I love that every day is different. You never know what the next request for travel will be. Helping members and their families plan and achieve their ‘dream’ vacation is a daily highlight.”

Candi Haines
Hudson Office Branch Manager
As a travel counselor
for 39 years, Candi has
enjoyed researching
and creating fantastic
vacation experiences.
Her focus is on designing
international adventures.
Her team of associates goes the extra mile to “delight” members in their many travel requests. From Candi’s travel adventures and the knowledge shared by excited returning customers, she is continually learning. A happy traveler is her goal!
Gail Greening
Gail Greening has
been a travel agent for
more than 30 years,
booking tours and
cruises worldwide. She
enjoys visiting new
destinations with her
family and friends,
sharing new experiences
and making fabulous memories. Gail is passionate about her work and strives to make each person’s dream vacation become one of their life stories. She will provide you with excellent customer service for both independent and group travelers. Give her a call!
Tammy Kreiter
Tammy has worked in
the travel industry for
more than 20 years. She
began her AAA journey
in Rochester, New York,
and when she returned
to her home state of
Ohio, she continued
working for AAA, where
you can find her in our Fairlawn branch.
Rick Lee
Travel Agent Manager
Rick was born in
Barberton and currently
resides in Mogadore
with his wife, Gail, who
also is employed at AAA
Akron. They have one
son and one grandson.
Rick began his travel
agency career as a Corporate Travel specialist and has been a part of the AAA family since 1978.
Rick has extensive knowledge of the airline travel industry, car rentals and hotels in the United States and overseas. His last travel experience found him making memories at Disney World with his family in July of 2018.
I love to see my clients reactions after their trips! My goal is to help them discover something new, have a great experience and feel rejuvenated.
European destinations are my favorite, especially Italy, because I lived there, so I’m able to share my personal experiences.
