COME FROM AWAY
State Theater at Cleveland Playhouse Square
Saturday, July 13
See the new Broadway musical that is receiving rave reviews – “Come From Away.” This musical tells the true story of what transpired when 38 planes were ordered to land unexpectedly in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland, Canada, on Sept. 11, 2001. At that time, Gander only had a population of 9,650 and 7,000 stranded travelers arrived there from around the world and were housed and fed by the residents. This is indeed a tremendous musical serving as an enduring reminder of the capacity for human kindness in even the darkest of times. We depart early in the afternoon and have included admission to the Greater Cleveland Aquarium followed by a sumptuous dinner with included wine at Nido Italia in Cleveland’s Little Italy with time to explore Little Italy on your own afterward.
