This award-winning Florida-born actress, singer and producer began her career on the CBS soap “Guiding Light.” Since then, she has appeared in hit films including “John Tucker Must Die,”“Hairspray” and “Pitch Perfect.”Watch her reprise the role of Barden Bellas co-captain Chloe Beale in “Pitch Perfect 3,” which is in theaters now.
What was your first car?
My first car was a 2001 Silver Acura RSX.
How did you acquire it?
My parents got it for me when I was 16. I nicknamed her Sexy Lexi the RSXy, which I thought was really funny. Turns out, it wasn't that funny and it doesn't even really rhyme.
What is your favorite
memory of the car?
I loved that car so much. We had some great times. I brought it with me when I moved from Florida to California. I learned to drive on the 405 in that car, fell in love for the first time in that car and had way too many dance parties in there. I think my favorite memory in that car was my boyfriend and first love teaching me how to drive in California. I was so scared and was screaming at the top of my lungs that people were going to run me over — but he was very patient with me. I am now a pretty good driver if I do say so myself.
What happened to it?
We sold it. It was a very sad day. It was time to say goodbye to Lexi but she was a good friend to me.
