Nevermore wonder about the life, literature and legends of Edgar Allen Poe. Visit the Poe Museum, a historic building dedicated to the mysterious author, whose early years
and later writing years were in Richmond, Virginia; the museum’s grounds feature an Enchanted Garden designed directly from Poe’s poem “To One in Paradise.” Participate as a jury member in a mock trial based on Poe’s “The Tell- Tale Heart.” A Capital Ale House dinner is followed by a guided ghost walk. The next day’s guided cemetery tour precedes a narrated canal boat ride on the James River and Kanawha Canal, and an Irish pub lunch. Age-old superstitions are revealed during a tour of Agecroft Hall Mansion, an authentic 15th-century Tudor manor home that was moved from England and rebuilt in Richmond in 1928, yet retained its original British spirits.
