Sailing With Seabourn – Luxury Cruising at its Best
There’s a reason Seabourn continues to be voted the “World’s Best Small-Ship Cruise Line” – and from the time you step onboard, you’ll know why.
I’ve had the great pleasure of sailing aboard Seabourn many times and to sum up my experiences in a word, it would be “perfect.”
Seriously, how many times do any of us call a vacation perfect?
My recent Seabourn Quest cruise (October 2014) with my daughter, Ashley, was a fall foliage New England & Canadian Maritimes itinerary and it was (here I go again) from beginning to end, perfect.
The cool, crisp autumn weather is an ideal time to take in the eye-popping colors along the shoreline and explore the picturesque and historic seaside towns and shipping villages in New England and Canada.
With three ships from which to choose – Seabourn Quest, Seabourn Odyssey and Seabourn Sojourn – which carry just 450 very privileged guests, Seabourn is an all-inclusive cruise line that looks and feels like a luxurious private club.
The moment you arrive, you are greeted with a warm smile and ice-cold champagne and the magic begins ... you will feel as if you’re in a world all its own.
If unique itineraries and gourmet dining are important to you, then you’re in luck. Seabourn sails to the world’s must-see cities and off-the-beaten- path hidden gems, and the dining rivals the best restaurants I’ve ever experienced. Now, dining is about to reach new heights in the cruise industry as Seabourn announced its partnership with
world-renowned American chef and restaurateur Thomas Keller. Keller is the culinary genius behind a trio of Michelin-starred restaurants, including The French Laundry, and Seabourn guests will dine on Keller’s award-winning cuisine beginning this fall.
Each Seabourn ship offers spacious all-suite accommodations, a water sports marina, Signature Moments, including the popular “Caviar in the Surf” and “Caviar Sailaways.” There are also exclusive guest port excursions, plus an open-bar policy serving premium wine, champagne and spirits. The attention to detail, gracious service and friendly onboard atmosphere is just the icing on the cake.
If you think Seabourn is cost-prohibitive, think again. Seabourn offers some of the best values in the luxury cruise industry and your AAA Travel expert will be able to give you all the details and the current promotional sales.
If you’re looking for a pampering, intimate, ultra-luxurious (without being stuffy) cruise vacation that caters to adults, sail with Seabourn. You will not be disappointed. It will be a perfect cruise experience you will remember forever.
I promise!

One of my great pleasures while cruising is meeting and spending time with the ship’s captain. Our Seabourn Quest Master was Captain Magnus Bengtsson, a friendly Norwegian with a huge personality and great love of the sea.
Q. What makes a Seabourn cruise so special?
A. The excellent itineraries. Taking our guests to
the best cities and villages that are not often visited by tourists. Also the all-inclusive nature of the
ship, the excellent dining and the convenience of unpacking once.
Q. This New England & Canadian Maritimes cruise has taken us to some picture-perfect ports that are so charming and beautiful. What are your favorites?
A. The clear, cool air and vivid fall colors make this itinerary extra special. We have the history of Boston and Halifax, the small seafaring towns of Bar Harbor, Gaspe and Bale-Comeau, plus the charm of Prince Edward Island and scenic cruising Saguenay Fjord before spending time in Quebec City and Montreal. This is real scenery with real town people and our guests love it. Our guests like to explore on foot and these ports are good for walking about the towns – and they also love all the lobster, especially lobster and champagne. Everyone is laughing and talking and so friendly. We have it all!
