Goshen, New York
(1 hour, 45 minutes from Albany)
456 feet in the air. Opening this spring is a Gold Rush- era-themed coaster, Medusa, which flips those brave enough to ride it seven times across a track of almost 4,000 feet while braving elements like flame and frost. Yikes. Of course, there is much to for the whole family, like catching aerial views along the Skyway or going for a spin in the Enchanted Teacups. Unlike the other two Six Flags parks previously mentioned, admission to Hurricane Harbor here is separate. Also unique to this location is the Wild Safari Drive-Thru which boasts more than 1,000 animals from six continents including elephants, giraffes, rhinos and lions. Admission to Wild Safari also is a separate ticket.

Headed down to the Orlando area? Don’t forget, your membership helps you save on admission for Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort, SeaWorld Orlando, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Discovery Cove, LEGOLAND Florida Resort (including the new Peppa Pig Theme Park) and more.
Last summer, this land of Awesome first debuted in the Northeast with seven themed lands: Lego City, Lego Castle,
Lego Ninjago World, Miniland, Bricktopia, Brick Street and Lego
Pirates. Each is extremely well-themed and has its own attractions, shops and eateries. Must-do attractions include LEGO Factory Adventure Ride, LEGO Ninjago The Ride and The Dragon. A bricktastic park like this would not be complete without LEGO creation areas, which is part of what makes it ideal for young kids and LEGO enthusiasts alike. Coming this summer, theme park guests will be able to splish, splash and cool
off at the brand-new LEGO City Water Playground. Plus, those who would like can choose to immerse themselves in the experience by staying at one of the themed rooms at LEGOLAND Hotel located just outside the entrance to the park. Tip: If you need plans for Independence Day, the Red, White & Boom event is the perfect way to celebrate with fun and fireworks.
