Must-Have International Travel Items Found at the AAA Travel Store
Most of your international travel needs can be met ahead of time. Save time and money in preparation for your intercontinental journey when you shop at the AAA Travel Store before you leave.
Foreign Currency – Wells Fargo offers foreign currency at AAA Hudson Valley locations. More than 70 currencies are available within 4-5 business days. You can order foreign currency in person at any AAA Hudson Valley location with cash or a certified bank check. Orders less than $200 (USD) will incur a $10 Wells Fargo fee. International Driving Permit – Will you be driving while abroad? In most foreign countries, your US-issued driver’s license is not valid without a supplemental document called the International Driving Permit. Often you are unable to rent a car abroad without an IDP. IDPs must be obtained in the country where your driver’s license was issued and can be purchased at the AAA Travel Store. The process is quick and easy.
Converters/Adapters – Outlets in the United States are different from outlets in foreign countries. Most times, electronic appliances have different-sized plugs and require an adapter. In the US, our electricity is 110-volt whereas many other countries use 220-volt electricity. Anything
