James Phelps President & CEO
As another summer winds down and the temperatures begin to cool, it reminds us that the cold and snow of winter are just around the corner. With that in mind, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on this past winter. It wasn’t all that long ago when we had one of the coldest seasons that many of us can ever recall.
As a result, AAA Northway’s Emergency
For the entire months of January & February, the Club handled just shy of 24,000 calls. Indeed, a challenging time for all Club staff involved but one which was met head
on with providing exceptional member service as the ultimate goal.
While most AAA clubs in the northeast saw their customer satisfaction scores drop during this extremely busy period, I am proud to state that our scores increased. Ninety-three percent of those who responded to our survey following
a road service request this past winter rated their overall experience as “totally satisfied” (a 5 on a scale of 1 to 5).
As we make our way into fall and ultimately winter, remember that we at AAA Northway are always here when you need us most. When you call for emergency road service, whether it’s 90 degrees or 20 below zero we’ll act quickly to get you the help you need. Thank you for being a member of AAA and placing your trust in us. We look forward to providing exceptional service to you now and in the years to come.
Road Service call center was handling member requests for assistance at record numbers. Through it all, our staff of call takers, dispatchers, Club fleet drivers and contractor network never wavered in our commitment to provide exceptional service to you, our valued members.
Allow me to share with you some of the numbers. On
a typical day, our call center will receive and dispatch roughly 260 emergency road service requests. On one day in January, in the midst of a prolonged cold snap, the Club dispatched a total of 2,000 requests. In one day, we handled more requests than we would in a typical week.
Here is what your fellow members are saying about AAA’s Roadside Assistance Service
The Emergency Road Service was wonderful. The driver was there quickly and was extremely professional and polite. He also provided tips for follow up.

— James O., Saratoga Springs
I’m all the way with AAA and you should be too!
— Kenneth W., Schenectady
