Since AAA’s inception in early 1900, AAA has been committed to transportation advocacy
efforts. These efforts continue today, both locally and nationally. The AAA Association is able to use diverse knowledge gained from academic research conducted and provided by the AAA Foundation for
funding gap will be left once they expire. Going forward, those bonds are not a viable option unless the tolls are raised, which is not likely.
These budget concerns are compounded by stagnate state gasoline tax, which has not kept up with the cost of inflation. This leads our legislatures with some very difficult challenges in addressing the funding shortfall of our state transportation. It will likely be the first real challenge under
Traffic Safety in an effort to establish policy advocacy efforts, with traffic safety and transportation infrastructure as a priority.
Work continues today by AAA Clubs throughout the United States on these

the leadership of the new Ohio governor. During the previous Ohio General Assembly,
AAA was a strong advocate for legislation that would enhance novice driver safety in Ohio. Ultimately, this legislation failed to succeed, although we plan to advocate for it to be reintroduced in this current session. This legislation will put additional safeguards in place to protect not only novice drivers, but also everyone who shares the roadways with them.
