The fondest of memories are typically from life’s special occasions: a family vacation, your child’s graduation or a milestone wedding anniversary. When these important moments occur, it’s important to be financially ready so you can enjoy them without the worry of how you are going to afford them.
Follow these tips to ensure you’re prepared for the momentous occasions in your life:
• Plan ahead: Keep an eye on big events going on throughout the year. Knowing a special occasion is on the horizon allows you to start setting aside the funds you’ll need to enjoy it the right way. Don’t let unexpected finances take away from your experience!
• Cut out unnecessary spending: Are you more likely to remember ordering out for lunch or how perfect your family road trip was? Curtail non-essential expenses so you can spend on the moments that matter.
Ensure you’re prepared so you can enjoy every minute of your next special occasion. To learn more about AAA savings, money market and CD accounts by Discover, visit AAA.com/ Deposits.

Smart Travel Planning Includes an International Driver's License
Let the IDP Speak for You
Traveling the world?
Before you go, purchase an International Driving Permit for peace of mind
while you’re out exploring.
U.S. residents apply at AAA offices. Or visit us online at: AAA.com/IDP
Advanced planning for international pleasure or business trips goes a long way toward ensuring those travels become treasured memories years from now.
One important step in the planning process is to secure an International Driving Permit. The IDP is accepted in more than 150 countries outside the United States and serves as a legal identification document that translates U.S. driver's license information into 11 foreign languages.
Many popular travel destinations – Greece and Japan, for example – do not recognize the U.S. driver’s license but accept the IDP. Other countries, such
as Spain and Italy recognize the U.S. driver’s license, but only in conjunction with a translation from the specific country – exactly what the IDP does.
Even if you're not planning to drive, AAA recommends carrying the IDP as added protection while overseas. Should you need to communicate with foreign authorities, this widely recognized form of photo identification can get you on your way more quickly.
International Driving Permits are available at AAA's network of 1,000 travel agencies in the U.S.
Purchasing requirements:
• Minimum age 18
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• $20
• Two passport-size photos $8 • Signed IDP application
The IDP can be used for one year from date of issue and must be accompanied by a valid U.S. driver's license at all times.
