AAA Shelby County has planned a wonderful
New York trip for September, with many special highlights, including a visit to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum on September 11, as well as One World Observatory at One World Trade Center. Later in the day, tour the National Geographic Encounter Ocean Odyssey, where visitors are transported to the Pacific Ocean on a jaw-dropping interactive
sea journey. The following day takes us on a tour of the iconic Radio City Music Hall and Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dinner will be at the Playwright Tavern, and then it’s curtains for a popular Broadway show. This departure also includes a guided walking tour of Central Park and a visit to the Empire State Building. Of course, there will be plenty of free time for shopping, as well!

scenery as we travel to Charlotte for an overnight stay before proceeding to the charming city of Savannah, Georgia. Travel through beautiful Michigan on a trip that will first take us to Rochester Hills for lunch and a tour of Meadow Brook Estates. From here it’s on to Thunder Valley Resort where visitors enjoy elk viewing via horse-drawn carriage. The next day, depart for Indian River and St. Ignace where we will take a ferry ride to Mackinac Island. The highlight of this day
is a sightseeing tour of the island via horse-drawn carriage. We will be staying on the island and having a lunch buffet at the Grand Hotel. Upon the return to Ignace, we will depart for Frankenmuth and shopping at the famous Bronner’s Christmas Store.
