Heart of Alaska

“Savor the Journey” by land and sea with Holland America Line. Touring begins in Fairbanks with a cruise on the Chena and Tanana rivers, then it’s on to Denali National Park for a two-night stay and a guided wilderness and wildlife tour. Ride aboard a deluxe dome railcar on the McKinley Explorer train to Anchorage for a visit and overnight stay before taking the “Cruisetrain” to Seward to board Holland America’s ms Westerdam. Cruise the Gulf of Alaska to glorious Glacier Bay. Your first port is Haines, on America’s longest fjord, then sail to the state capital
of Juneau, followed by Ketchikan – famous for the Misty Fjords, before scenic cruising along the Inside Passage to Vancouver for an overnight stay before returning home.
Colorful Trails of the Southwest

Fly to Phoenix and travel to the red rocks of Sedona and along the base of towering cliffs of Oak Creek Canyon.
A geological tour of the Grand Canyon is followed by
a stay in the wide-open expanse of Monument Valley,
the site of many movie Westerns and native lands of the Navajo. Explore pueblo cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde and view sandstone’s many colors at Arches National Park. Ride along the Million Dollar Highway past alpine peaks and lakes to Silverton, where you can choose to take a steam train ride to Durango. Visit ancient, but inhabited Taos Pueblo and wind through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains to Santa Fe, renowned for its Southwestern art, architecture and cuisine.

You are invited to ride the rails of Britain’s heritage railways with the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania.
