Fall is just around the corner. Signs of the changing season are everywhere, not the least of which are the sounds of “back to school.” Soon, big yellow school buses will be on the road along with bikers and walkers, all heading to and from school. AAA School Safety Patrols (this program is in its 95th year) will be “on
Chairman’s Cruise in 2016. We will be enjoying “Castles Along the Rhine,” May 13-22, aboard Uniworld’s S.S. Antoinette. Our river cruise will begin in Amsterdam and end in Basel, Switzerland with a one-night pre-cruise hotel stay and half-day sightseeing tour in Amsterdam. Our ports of call include Cologne, Germany; Koblenz, Germany; Rudesheim, Germany; Speyer, Germany; Kehl, Germany; Strasbourg, France; Breisach,

Nationally, AAA is celebrating its 100th anniversary of providing safety and security to its members through road service. In 1921, your club offered free 10-mile towing to its members and in 1926, hired a motorcycle patrolman to ride highways in our territory to assist motorists, particularly our members.

I am excited to announce my President’s Trip for 2016. We will be cruising on Holland America’s newest ship, the ms Koningsdam. Our adventure will take place August 12-28. We will begin our cruise in Amsterdam with ports of call in England, Scotland, Iceland and Norway, then returning
to Amsterdam. Please join me for one of our information sessions October 19, 2:00 p.m., at the Estelle Drive office in Lancaster or 6:00 p.m. at the Giant Community Center in Linglestown for detailed information on this exciting trip.
