When requesting roadside assistance, please have the following information available for the operator in order to expedite the process:
• Your full 16-digit AAA membership number • Year, make, model, and color of car
• Reason for service
• Vehicle location (address, nearest
cross street, city)
• Contact telephone number
Since the inception of AAA clubs in the early 1900s, our organization has proudly provided professional and courteous customer service to members, not just within our offices, but beyond the office doors. Roadside assistance has been an integral part of membership benefits almost since the very beginning. We are the experts you can trust on the road – wherever it might take you.
At AAA Central Penn, roadside assistance extends to all AAA members in the nine counties we serve. We are dedicated to providing fast, reliable help when you find yourself in the difficult situation of dealing with a vehicle breakdown. AAA Central Penn employs people and contracts with local automotive companies that share a passion for assisting AAA members in emergency situations – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – even when you’re in someone else’s car.
Roadside assistance includes battery boosts, mobile battery testing and replacement
service*, diagnosing the problem that caused
the breakdown and attempting a repair when appropriate, changing a flat tire, providing enough fuel to get to the nearest fueling station, extricating a vehicle that became stuck while driving, helping
members who are locked out of their car and, of course, towing.
AAA’s mobile battery testing and replacement service* features trained technicians, complimentary battery testing and diagnostic problem detection, and technicians can often deliver and install a battery on the spot.
Every effort is made to start your vehicle and get you on your way. If these attempts are unsuccessful, our towing service will take your vehicle free of charge to wherever you choose to go within your membership mileage limit. AAA’s service providers can also direct you to the nearest AAA Approved Auto Repair facilities.
Additionally, AAA service providers are trained, properly equipped, insured and have passed third-party background checks. They’re also trained in light mechanical diagnostics, safe driving techniques and receive routine customer service training so our members receive a totally satisfied experience. Remember, when you need roadside assistance, AAA Central Penn is ready to get you right back on the go.
