FOR THE POSITION OF TRAFFIC SAFETY
REPRESENTATIVE
Do you enjoy working with children, teens, and older adults? AAA
Northampton County reinforces car seat, school bus, bike, teen driving and
mature course safety messaging by not only encouraging children, teens
and adults to adopt safe practices, but also teaching them through safety
programs offered in schools located within our territory and classes
scheduled at our office located on Hecktown Road.
Safety courses are scheduled throughout the year, and are dependent upon
requests made by the schools located in our territory and community events
scheduled in our territory. Hours worked depend upon the safety courses
scheduled for the month, which could range from 0 to 10 hours per month.
Traffic Safety Representatives are required to visit schools within AAA
Northampton County’s territory to instruct students on various safety programs;
AAA School Safety Patrol, Safety Sam, Scoot the Talking Bike, and School Bus
Safety. Instruct Mature Driver and Dare to Prepare courses at the club, or at
remote locations as requested and represent AAA and the Traffic Safety
Department at miscellaneous community and office events.
The candidate applying for this position should posses excellent customer
service and telephone skills, excellent communication, listening and public
speaking skills, strong organizational, multi-tasking and PC skills, including
Microsoft Office and ability to operate PowerPoint presentations.

AAA Northampton County offers a 4-hour refresher course.
In order to qualify for this course, you must be 55 or older and have taken
the 8-hour Mature Operators Course with AAA Northampton County within
the past 3 years. AAA Northampton County also will be offering the 8-hour
Mature Operators Course for those who have not taken it in the past 3 years.
The cost is $10 for AAA members and $30 for nonmembers. For more

and about touring the eight wineries along the Lehigh
