We recently toured the

Emerald Princess

cruise ship

docked in Brooklyn, New York.

Before we mention the cruise

ship, we must say that the Port

of Brooklyn is a state-of-the-art

cruise terminal and has

received numerous accolades,

such as “Cruise Terminal of the Year” and “Best

Homeport.”

After proceeding through security we embarked

on the ship and received a taste of the wonderful

things it has to offer. This ship holds 3,000

passengers and has something for everyone,

including movies under the stars, a wine bar, a

hand-rolled sushi station, an international café,

and an adults-only sanctuary.

Princess Cruises sails from Brooklyn periodically,

but also has many sailings throughout the world,

including Caribbean itineraries from Fort

Lauderdale, Alaska cruises from Seattle and

Vancouver, and many offerings in Europe. The

cruise line even offers a 104-day world cruise in

July on the

Princess Cruises’ newest ship is the

Royal Princess

2013. Michelle had the opportunity to sail on the

inaugural cruise out of Fort Lauderdale and can’t

say enough about all its features. One of her

favorite things was walking across the sea walk,

which is an enclosed walkway with a glass-paneled

floor that offers wonderful views of the ocean. (She

did not have any luck at the casino, but will

definitely try again next time.)
