Spring is almost here. What a
winter we have had this year. AAA
Northampton County had record
call volume for Emergency Roadside
Assistance during the winter of
2013/2014. I would like to thank our
Roadside Problem Solving Technicians,
ERS contractors and ERS dispatchers for
working extra hours and often in poor weather conditions
over the past few months to provide the best service
possible for our members. While wait times some days
were longer than we would have preferred, our ERS team
did a great job taking care of our members. I also would
like to thank our many members who were patient and
appreciative of our staff’s efforts.
If nothing else this winter has taught us that we
should always be prepared. When was the last time you
had your battery tested? If your answer is over three years,
I recommend that you contact our ERS department and
have one of our Roadside Problem Solving Technicians
provide you with a complimentary battery test. It’s always
better to discover a battery issue before it fails. When was
the last time you checked the tire pressure in your car’s
tires? Driving on tires that need air can be a safety hazard
and can reduce fuel efficiency as well. Does your car have
a spare tire? If so, when was the last time you checked it to
make sure it is properly inflated? The AAA Northampton
County office has an air machine where AAA members can
add air to their tires at no charge.
For your auto maintenance and service be sure to visit
a local AAA Approved Auto Repair facility. If you repair
your own car, be sure to visit a local auto parts store that
offers AAA members a discount. For a complete list of AAA

on the automotive tab, and for auto parts stores that offer
AAA discounts, visit AAA.com/discounts and look in the
automobile section.
