aboard the Celebrity Summit.

Celebrity is in the process of Solsticizing their

Millennium Class ships. Solsticizing is Celebrity’s

term for revitalizing ships with key features found on

their Solstice Class ships, including "the spa-inspired"

AquaClass® staterooms with exclusive dining in the Blu

restaurant; and Qsine, a unique tapas dining experience.

I hadn’t sailed on the

Summit

prior to its Solsticization

in 2012, but I can report that Solsticizing greatly agrees

with her! The staterooms are decorated in a natural yet

contemporary décor. We stayed in an outside stateroom

with 170 feet of space on deck 2. This was my first time

in an outside cabin and although I missed my morning

tea on the veranda, the porthole window offered plenty

of sunlight and a wonderful view. A hair dryer, bath

amenities, flat screen television, mini bar, 24-hour room

service and twice daily turndown service are included in

all staterooms.

Dining options on the

Summit

are numerous. Blu is

the new Solsticized restaurant exclusively for AquaClass

guests. Menu options are focused on spa/healthy eating

items. AquaClass guests may choose to eat here or in

the main dining room. Qsine is another new Solsticized

option. This is a tapas dining experience not to be

missed. The food is simply amazing, as is the décor.

In addition to offering plenty of activities for adults,

such as fitness facilities and daily enrichment programs,

the

Summit

keeps the kids busy with pools, Ping Pong

tables, a basketball court, library, arcade and Fun Factory

children’s club with daily programs. For teens, the X-Club

offers special activites tailored to their interests.

I thoroughly enjoyed sailing on the

Summit.

The dining

options were flexible and more than satisfying. Service

was friendly, professional and helpful. The activities

were so varied and numerous, I only wish I had more

time to enjoy them all! Which brings me to my final

point – I can’t wait to go back!
